Coming to the point, Chetan uses simple lucid English words which any school kid could understand…The story is good……pretty straight revolving on “CRICKET… POLITICS… RELIGION… LOVE… EMOTIONS… “…lives of an Indian middle class family…….was not able to enjoy whatever he has mentioned about Gujarathi snacks and all…..He has touched about some real incidence like twin tower demolition, the Godhra havoc and earthquakes in Gujarat that happened really in this world…He has also used the Australian slang’s…..But I didn’t appreciate the love story that he has intertwined in his book… out of scope…could have deferred pre-marital sex though…. didn’t appreciate this at all…..Anyways, it is a book written to be sold like hot-cakes…………
I think I gave my opinion about this book……which comes down to the next thought…what was my 3 mistakes in life?......I asked my hubby..and he goes..” Marriage…”…Hahaha….”me too, me too”…..The typical answer of any “Spouse”….which is the next book I’ve started reading…I’ve read this before…..It is a good read, though, to be revisited often...just to revive the concept of institution called "Marriage"....………
LOL! I would say that too, of course JOKINGLY!!;D
ReplyDeleteMy 3 mistakes....blogging, blogging, blogging!! No one can make heads or tails about what I write and to think of it I thought I could write reasonably well and blogging smashed that illusion!!!
